This Privacy Policy explains what information Tr33 (“we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Tr33 you agree to this policy. We aim to collect only what we need to run the game.
Information we collect
- Account details — your email address, display name, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
- Game data — your Tr33s, balances (fruit, seeds, golden seeds), streaks, watering history, tasks, and referral relationships.
- Technical data — limited information such as your IP address and request metadata, used for sign-in, security, and rate-limiting (preventing abuse and brute-force attempts).
- Notification data — if you enable reminders, your browser’s push subscription (a device-specific endpoint and keys) so we can send the notifications you asked for. You can turn this off any time in the app or your device settings.
- Cookies — we use a single essential, httpOnly session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use your information
- to create and operate your account and save your game progress;
- to verify your email, reset your password, and send essential account messages;
- to run game features such as tasks, the seed economy, and referrals;
- to send the push reminders you opt into (and for no other purpose);
- to keep the Service secure — detecting and preventing abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access;
- to understand aggregate usage so we can improve the game.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information.
- We share it only with service providers who help us run Tr33, under confidentiality obligations — for example, our database/hosting provider and our email provider (Resend), which delivers verification and password-reset emails.
- We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Tr33 and its users.
Forests and loyalty programs
A forest is a branded loyalty group run by a partner (a business, creator, or community) inside Tr33. If you join one:
- The forest’s owner can see limited activity about you within that forest — your display name, when you joined, your watering activity there, your loyalty tier, and your redemption history for perks you’ve claimed with them. They cannot see your email address or any other account details.
- Partners are independent of Tr33 for what they do with that view — each partner is responsible for how they use the activity we show them, and for deciding whether and how to act on it (for example, deciding who gets a reward).
- Any reward (“perk”) shown to you is offered and fulfilled by that forest’s owner, not by Tr33 — we only track and display whether you’ve earned it from your in-game activity.
- We do not give a partner your email address, and we do not let partners contact you outside the app.
Data retention
- We keep your information for as long as your account is active.
- If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations or to prevent abuse.
Security
We protect your data with measures including:
- hashed passwords;
- signed session cookies;
- encrypted transport (HTTPS);
- access controls.
No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
Your choices and rights
- You can update your password and turn reminders on or off in your account.
- You can permanently delete your account and its data yourself from the Account screen at any time.
- You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing support@tr33.app.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.
Children
Tr33 is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International users
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. By using Tr33 you consent to such processing in accordance with this policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or by email.
